What a cookie is
A cookie is a small record a website leaves in your browser. Sites use them to maintain a session, remember preferences or count visits. Browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage does much the same job; this page treats all of them together.
What happens on this site
The Zenith Insurance website writes nothing to your browser without your permission. Browsing the pages leaves no trace on its own. No advertising network, no social media tracker and no profiling tool is used under any circumstances.
There are two things on the site: visit statistics, which depend on your permission, and the live chat in the bottom right corner. The table below shows what appears in your browser and when.
| Service | Why it is there | What appears in your browser |
|---|---|---|
| Zenith Insurance (this site) | Displaying the pages | Apart from the measurement below, no cookie or browser record is created. |
| Visit statistics (Google Analytics) | Seeing which pages get read | Only if you allow it: two cookies named _ga and _ga_MYKF6PL5BN. If you decline, neither is created. |
| Korgan Live — live chat | So you can message us from the site | The widget connects to korgan.io on every page. Nothing is stored in your browser unless you open the chat. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Protecting the chat from automated bots | When you open the chat, a record named cf.turnstile.u is created on the challenges.cloudflare.com domain. |
How you give and withdraw permission
The first time you visit, a bar appears at the bottom of the page asking whether you allow visit statistics. Your answer is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us. If you decline, the site works exactly as before — the only thing switched off is the measurement.
You can change your mind at any time. The button at the bottom of this page shows your current choice and resets it, bringing the bar back. If you allowed measurement and then withdraw it, tracking stops immediately and any cookies already created are deleted.
Managing cookies yourself
Independently of the choice above, you can view, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge this sits under privacy. Blocking them will not stop the pages working; only blocking the live chat entirely may prevent the chat window from opening.
If this changes
If a quote form or another external service is added to the site, what appears in your browser will change too. If that happens, this page is updated and the date below is renewed.
